Since watching Mystery Science Theater 3000, I've eventually come across these two online personas that really kick bad pop culture in the butt in their own unique ways.

THE NOSTALGIA CRITIC (Douglas Walker)

He remembers it so that we don't have to. This guy usually spends his days bashing bad movies & TV shows, making Top 11 lists, & recently, comparing two different movies, the original & a remake, to see which one's better. He hates having his childhood raped (Batman & Robin, Tom & Jerry: The Movie) & he often carries a gun to shoot/ threaten people in the movies & sometimes even in an attempt to do himself in. He also picks certain subjects in these films to rant about, resulting in some funny gags to follow. I had a feeling this guy was inspired by Mystery Science Theater 3000 because some of his humor involves riffs & making up lines for the characters to say. Some of his numerous subjects include (and these are also some of his favorite things as well) Disney, Ghostbusters, Batman, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Don Bluth, Looney Tunes, & various video games. He's even been challenged by the nerd to review Bebe's Kids for the SNES, which he, in the end, destroyed after putting up with its abuse.

WHAT ELSE? Douglas Walker has other videos on thatguywiththeglasses.com, including Ask That Guy With The Glasses (where he answers viewer questions), Bum Reviews (in which he reviews recent movies as Chester A. Bum), Theme Lyrics (where he makes up theme lyrics for otherwise instrumental TV themes), & recently, Video Game Confessions (in which he, as Dominic, a bartender, tells his experiences of video game characters who come into this fictional restraunt called The Pixel Palace)

THE ANGRY VIDEO GAME NERD (James Rolfe)

He's going to take you back to the past... to play awful games usually based on franchises & rant about them all he can. This guy is, in my opinion, the much more cruder of the two. I mean, this guy has a really bad temper, so bad in fact, that he can take profanity & make it into an inventive art form. He often uses physical violence to destroy the game in the end. He's even reviewed two movies in this persona: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3 (Being a TMNT fan, he was severely disappointed that a once-promising sounding sequel wound up being crap in the end), & Ricky 1 (A poor parody of Rocky, which he's also a fan of, which he was challenged by the Critic to watch). This guy is constantly trying to drown the pains of the games he reviews by drinking some sort of beer, like Rolling Rock. Sometimes characters, like Freddy Kruger, Jason Voorhees, Bugs Bunny, & The Joker come in & usually harrass him, but he usually beats the crap out of them by the conclusion.

WHAT ELSE? James Rolfe has a site called Cinemassacre, in which he reviews movies & various aspects of movies, even making Top 10 lists.

These two apparantly have some sort of rivalry, but I don't really care about all that. I just love their reviews.

Gasp in awe at my sucky attempt at pixelization!

Yeah, I heard about that, but I think he liked Ren & Stimpy, despite its insanity.

Thanks!

Yeah, I know what you mean about the NC being a bit too harsh at times.

Why would I want to take over this world when I'm already the ruler of my own world?

They also took down "The Making of 'TMNT: Coming Out Of Our Shells'" at the same time.
